How it runs

Buying machinery and attachments from a seller you cannot visit

Forestry heads, generators, forklifts, attachments, marine and powersports listings — the machine changes and the sequence does not. A domain registered within the last year. A price the market cannot support. Photographs that exist somewhere else at a different price. A seller who will not be seen, will not be visited, and will not accept a payment route that can be reversed. Urgency supplied by a second buyer who is always about to commit. And a first payment that turns out to be the first of several, because every scheme in this trade ends with a fee that must be paid before the thing you already bought can be released.

Four checks that end it

  1. 01Check the domain registration date before you look at anything else on the site.
  2. 02Reverse image search the photographs and price the machine against two independent sellers.
  3. 03Verify the legal entity in the state business register, by number, not by the name printed on the site.
  4. 04Use a payment route with a reversal mechanism, and refuse every request to add a fee after the fact.
